LAZARA LOURDES PITTMAN
Managing Attorney
Attorney Pittman has been working in the area of immigration law since 1977. She is an immigrant herself from Havana, Cuba. She obtained her JD from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1987. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1989 and practices immigration law nationwide. She practices in all areas of U.S. Immigration Law, including handling complex cases with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), United States Citizenship & Immigration Services (USCIS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Administrative Appeals Office (AAO), Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), U.S. Department of Labor, the National Visa Center (NVC), and the U.S. Court of Appeals.
BEHROOZ ABGOON
Associate Attorney
Attorney Abgoon's practice encompasses family immigration, humanitarian relief, and removal defense, representing clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA). He has experience handling a broad range of immigration matters, including adjustment of status, consular processing, asylum, VAWA, U visas, T visas, SIJS petitions, Temporary Protected Status, and naturalization. Behrooz has also successfully filed petitions for writs of mandamus in federal district courts nationwide, compelling agency action on long-delayed immigration cases. Behrooz earned his JD from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2019, where he served as a research assistant in immigration law. He is admitted to practice in Iowa, and is fluent in Spanish and Farsi.
BELLA PITTMAN
Paralegal & Business Operations Manager
Bella is not only Ms. Pittman's daughter, but has been working with the firm for 7+ years. After graduating from the University of Iowa, Bella has taken on the role of managing the firm's operations as well as being Attorney Pittman's right hand in legal matters. Bella is in charge of handling work permits, billing and payments, helping clients prepare and submit applications, and case management. She has a wide range of experience handling complex immigration matters and truly cares about guiding clients through their cases.
GRIFFIN HANNA
Case Manager
Griffin assists the firm with administrative tasks such as preparing documents, case management, investigating legal cases, and customer service. He is also in charge of handling attorney Pittman's hearings and court calendar. Griffin can help answer any questions you may have regarding your case status.
